Free Entry Route

• You must be a United Kingdom resident aged 18 or over
• You must be legally capable of entering and must use your own accurate details
• Employees, contractors and people materially involved in operating a draw, and their immediate households, may not enter unless a specific promotion expressly permits it
• Any per-person, per-household or account entry limit shown on the competition page applies equally to paid and free entries

Send one handwritten letter or postcard for each entry requested. Unless the relevant competition page states additional information, every entry must clearly include:

• Your full name and date of birth
• Your full UK residential address
• Your email address and mobile telephone number
• The exact name of the competition
• A clear request for one free entry
• Any answer, declaration or other information specifically required on the competition page
• Your signature confirming that you are 18 or over and accept the applicable terms

Each separate letter or postcard is one free entry. Multiple entries require separate postal communications with the correct postage. Bulk sheets, photocopied bundles, automated submissions or one communication requesting multiple entries will be treated as one entry or rejected.

A postal entry must be physically received before the closing date and time stated on the competition page. Posting before the deadline is not enough. Allow sufficient delivery time. Proper Wins is not responsible for delayed, lost, damaged, incomplete or misdirected post.

Where a competition sells out and closes earlier in accordance with its published rules, entries received after closure cannot be accepted. Competition pages should provide enough information and time for potential entrants to make a genuine choice between the paid and free routes.

Where an account is required, the details on the postal entry must match the account details. We may contact you or create/associate the entry with an account so that tickets, results, limits and winner verification can be administered consistently.

Entries may be rejected if they are illegible, incomplete, duplicated, fraudulent, outside the entry cap, received after closing or do not comply with the published rules. We are not required to confirm receipt of every postal entry.

Valid free and paid entries participate in the same draw or prize-allocation process. The selection system must not recognise the route of entry when determining a winner. Free entries will not receive inferior odds, a lower prize or a different draw merely because no payment was made.

Where an eligible competition includes instant-win results, a valid free entry will be assigned a ticket or result using the same underlying auditable allocation mechanism used for paid entries. The visual animation, if any, does not determine the result. Postal entrants will be notified if their processed entry wins.

Only ordinary postage is required. Do not include cash, cheque, payment-card details or any other payment. Proper Wins will not charge an entry fee for a valid postal entry.

The competition page, these Free Entry Route rules and the general Terms & Conditions apply together. Where a competition has a specific entry cap, closing time, answer requirement or format, those clearly disclosed competition-specific details also apply.
