Terms & Conditions
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply to all competitions operated by Proper Wins via www.properwins.co.uk (the “Platform”). By entering any competition, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Definitions
“Competition(s)” means any prize draw, ticket draw, or promotional competition offered on the Platform.
“Entrant”, “you”, “your” means any person entering a Competition.
“Prize(s)” means the reward(s) awarded to a Winner.
“Winner(s)” means the Entrant(s) selected to receive a Prize.
“Promoter”, “we”, “us”, “our” means Proper Wins.
2. Promoter
All Competitions on the Platform are promoted and operated by Proper Wins at the address stated above.
3. Competition Details
3.1 Competitions may include one-off prize draws or other promotional formats, as described on each Competition page.
3.2 Entry price, available entries, maximum entries per person, closing date, draw date, and Prize details will be clearly displayed on each Competition page.
3.3 Each Competition includes a free entry route, meaning no purchase is necessary to enter. Competitions are not lotteries and are operated in compliance with the Gambling Act 2005.
3.4 If a Competition reaches its maximum number of entries before the advertised closing date, the Competition may close early and the draw may take place sooner.
4. Eligibility
4.1 Competitions are open only to UK residents aged 18 or over, unless stated otherwise.
4.2 Employees of Proper Wins, their immediate family members, or anyone professionally connected with the operation of the Platform may not enter.
4.3 By entering, you confirm that you meet all eligibility requirements and agree to these Terms.
4.4 Proper Wins reserves the right to refuse entry or disqualify any Entrant at its reasonable discretion.
5. How to Enter
5.1 Paid entries must be submitted through the Platform and payment completed before the Competition closing time.
5.2 All entries must be received before the closing time displayed on the relevant Competition page.
5.3 Free Entry Route: Each Competition includes a free entry route. Details are provided on the Free Entry page and/or the relevant Competition page.
5.4 All valid paid and free entries are treated equally and included in the same draw.
6. Entry Conditions
6.1 All entry details must be complete, accurate, and submitted personally by the Entrant.
6.2 Entries cannot be altered or withdrawn once submitted, except where required by law.
6.3 Proper Wins reserves the right to refuse or disqualify any entry where it reasonably believes an Entrant has acted fraudulently, dishonestly, or in a manner that compromises the integrity of the Competition.
7. Ticket Allocation
7.1 Each valid entry will be allocated ticket number(s) once payment has cleared or a free entry has been validated.
7.2 The ticket allocation and draw process will be explained on the relevant Competition page.
8. Winners and Prize Award
8.1 Winners are selected at random from all valid entries received before the Competition closing time. Each valid entry has an equal chance of winning.
8.2 Draws may be recorded or broadcast for transparency and verification purposes.
8.3 Winners will be notified using the contact details provided at entry.
8.4 If a Winner cannot be contacted within 5 working days, the Prize may be forfeited and either re-drawn or retained by Proper Wins at its discretion.
8.5 Prizes will be delivered or paid in the manner described on the relevant Competition page.
8.6 Proper Wins may require proof of identity, age, and eligibility before awarding a Prize. Failure to provide satisfactory verification may result in forfeiture of the Prize.
9. Winner Publicity (Photos, Video & Media)
9.1 Proper Wins may invite a Winner to participate in reasonable publicity activities, including (but not limited to):
- Photographs
- Short video or video call clips
- Screenshots or confirmation of prize receipt
- Written testimonials or quotes
- Social media content
9.2 Participation in publicity is optional and is not a condition of entry or winning. A Winner may decline any publicity request.
9.3 Where a Winner agrees to provide publicity content (“Winner Content”), the format, timing, and intended use will be explained in advance.
10. Permission to Use Winner Content
10.1 Where a Winner voluntarily provides Winner Content, the Winner grants Proper Wins a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce, publish, and share that content for marketing, promotional, and verification purposes.
10.2 Winner Content will not be altered in a misleading way and will not be used to imply endorsement beyond the agreed context.
11. General Competition Rules
11.1 Paid entry fees are non-refundable except where a Competition is cancelled by Proper Wins.
11.2 Proper Wins reserves the right to cancel, suspend, amend, or terminate a Competition where required by law or due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
11.3 Entrants must not misuse the Platform or interfere with the operation of any Competition.
11.4 Proper Wins reserves the right to restrict or disqualify Entrants who breach these Terms or act unlawfully or abusively.
12. Limitation of Liability
12.1 To the fullest extent permitted by law, Proper Wins shall not be liable for:
- Technical failures or system errors
- Lost, delayed, or misdirected entries
- Any indirect or consequential loss
12.2 Nothing in these Terms limits any statutory rights that cannot legally be excluded.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
14. Changes to These Terms
Proper Wins may update these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms will be published on the Platform. Continued participation constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
15. Miscellaneous
15.1 These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Proper Wins regarding Competitions.
15.2 Failure to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver of that provision.
15.3 If any provision is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
